Instructors may wish to remove their course from the marketplace and close it to enrollments for various reasons. For example, you may wish to temporarily prevent new learners from enrolling in the course as you make updates to it, or, you may wish to permanently close the course to new enrollments since you’re creating a new, more current course.
This article outlines how instructors can unpublished and republish courses, or delete courses that do not have learners enrolled (in order to uphold the lifetime access guarantee IKNOWLEDGY offers learners, courses with learners enrolled cannot be deleted or unpublished).
How to Unpublished a Course
When a course is unpublished, it will no longer be visible in the marketplace and new learners cannot enroll, however if the course had only 1 enrollment it can’t be unpublished. To unpublished a course, please follow these steps below:
1. Navigate to the Support Ticket Tab.
2. Write in the subject section “Unpublished Course”.
3. Write in the content section the name of the course and the reason of unpublished the course.
4. Click send to confirm your decision to unpublished your course, and the course will be unpublished in 24 hours.
How to Republish a Course
An unpublished course can be republished at any time. To republish your course, please follow these steps below:
1. Navigate to the Support Ticket Tab.
2. Write in the subject section “Republish Course”.
3. Write in the content section the name of the course you need to republish.
4. Click send to confirm your decision to republish your course, and the course will be republished in 3 working days.
Please note that the course will be republished in 3 working days to review the content of the courses before we publish it to our platform in case there is any unacceptable content according to the Egyptian law such as (sexual content, etc..)
When you Republish Course, your course will return to our marketplace.
How to Delete a Course
A course can only be deleted if students are not enrolled. In order to uphold the lifetime access guarantee with enrolled students, you may not delete or unpublish groups of course lectures in the original course to reduce the amount of content. This would be a violation of our Terms of Use.
Please note that deleting a course permanently erases all course content including discussions and associated files and deleting a course cannot be undone. If you wish to delete a course, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the Support Ticket Tab.
2. Write in the subject section “Delete Course”.
3. Write in the content section the SLUG of the course and the reason of deleting the course.
1. Navigate to All Courses Tab.
2. Click on the 3 dots on the right side of the course name and click edit.
3. In the slug section copy the exact same words.
4. Click send to confirm your decision to delete your course, and the course will be deleted in 24 hours.
